Goldsmiths’ Fair 2019

I am excited to be taking part in Goldsmiths’ Fair, the prestigious selling event at Goldsmiths’ Hall in London.

“Collecting is ultimately an investment in meaning. Treasure those objects that inspire you, acquire others and before you know it, you’ve started collecting.”

David Mills – Director, Goldsmiths’ Fair

Here are a few gold pieces I am working on in preparation for the show.

Above, the Orb pendant features a pretty rhodolite garnet, surrounded by subtly coloured sapphires.

Below is a pair of Arc earrings in the making, featuring pear shaped emeralds.

understated opulence

Gold is an essential material in my work – in particular I am fascinated by high carat golds, their rich colour gives the work an opulent feel. Combined with delicate textures and subtle brushed finishes, the opulent gold has a paired back, understated aesthetic.

A touch of sunshine

When combined with silver, gold allows me to highlight and frame beautiful gemstones. The effect is particularly striking in this new Talisman ring.

In this statement ring the hand formed 18ct gold edge adds a touch of sunshine to the solid silver and the richly coloured blue/green tourmaline.

I do hope you can join me at Goldsmiths’ Fair.
